Family members and loved ones play an important role in the rehabilitation and successful reentry of incarcerated individuals. This page provides information and resources to help you stay connected and informed.

Here you can learn how to send money, communicate through approved messaging and phone systems, review visitation guidelines, locate facilities, and access support services. Our goal is to provide clear and accurate information so families understand the process and know what to expect.

Four ways to send money:

  2. Use Debit or Credit Card By Phone by calling (866) 345-1884. Available 24/7
  3. Use Cash by visiting Cash Pay Today:
    • Visit www.CashPayToday.com or call 844-340-CASH(2274) for the most current location list and to register for your account.
  4. Send Money Order By Mail
    • Mail your money order and the order deposit coupon, which can be found here or at www.accesscorrections.com, or visit a facility to request a coupon. Once you have both the money order and coupon, mail to: Secure Deposits — Alabama DOC PO Box 12486 St. Louis, MO 63132

The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) will allow Union Supply to receive orders for Property and Hygiene packages which will be delivered to the offenders assigned to state facilities.

Order forms are available for download at www.alinmatepackage.com/Home.aspx. The order form displays a complete list of items that have been pre-approved by the Alabama Department of Corrections for the offender to receive.

Ordering period is July 22 – August 21, 2025.

Union Supply Direct is the exclusive Footwear provider for the Alabama Department of Corrections. Family and Friends can order their loved ones incarcerated in the Alabama Prison System a Footwear Package offering product pre-approved by ADOC. Please see the Rules & Regulations section for more information.

Approved communication systems allow family members and friends to stay connected with incarcerated individuals.

eMessage

The eMessage system provides a secure and monitored way to send and receive electronic messages. Messages are subject to review in accordance with ADOC policies. Instructions for setting up an account, purchasing message credits, and sending messages are available through the approved vendor.

Phone System

Incarcerated individuals may place outbound phone calls through the approved phone service provider. Family members must establish an account with the vendor to receive calls. Calls are subject to monitoring and recording in accordance with ADOC regulations.

  • INTERNATIONAL PHONE CALLS: Carrier Cost + $0.08/minute
  • REMOTE VIDEO VISITATION: $0.16/minute*
  • TABLET STREAMING CONTENT: $0.03/minute*
  • EMAIL/TEXT MESSAGING: $0.15/message*
  • PHOTO SHARING (INBOUND ONLY): $0.30/photo*
  • VOICE MESSAGING: $0.25/message*

Starting October 27, 2025 Your Inmate’s Mailing Address Is Changing! All inmate personal mail is going digital

The address to send mail to your inmate has changed. All personal mail such as letters, pictures, and drawings will now be digitally delivered to your incarcerated loved one or friend via the tablet.

Packages and legal mail should continue to be sent to the local address of the facility.

Note: Personal mail sent to the facility after November 10, 2025 will be returned to sender.

Your inmate’s mail must now be addressed to:

IMPORTANT:
To ensure your mail gets delivered, you must include ALDOC Inmate Mail Processing, as well as the Inmate name and Inmate AIS number. Please also note that the sender’s full name and physical address must be clearly written on the top left corner of the envelope.
