TUTWILER CORRECTIONAL SECURITY GUARD ARRESTED

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On July 29, 2025, the ADOC Law Enforcement Services Division (LESD) arrested Correctional Security Guard Avion Dixon the following charges:
One count of Use of Official Position for Personal Gain
Two counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card

The arrest followed an LESD investigation into the unauthorized use of a state-issued fuel card assigned to the ADOC. The investigation determined that Dixon used the card on multiple occasions, across several counties, to fuel his personal vehicle.

Dixon, an officer at Tutwiler Women’s Facility, was taken into custody and transported to the Elmore County Sheriff's Office without incident. He has since resigned his position at the ADOC.

The LESD investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
