ADOC NARCOTICS AGENTS ARREST TWO IN BESSEMER

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Monday, January 6, 2026, the Narcotics Unit of the ADOC Law Enforcement Services Division made two arrests following an ongoing investigation.

During a surveillance operation in Bessemer, ADOC agents observed Latoria Tramble, a YesCare nurse working at Donaldson Correctional Facility, and civilian Mercedes Davis in a hand-to-hand transaction.

Tramble and Davis were arrested, transported to the Jefferson County Jail, and charged with Drug Trafficking and Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime.

Agents seized 40 sheets of paper (approximately 340 grams) suspected to contain a synthetic controlled substance and $200 cash.
